Dr. Joanne Mason describes the 100,000 genomes project at Genomics England. The project aims to create a new genomic medicine service and enable medical research by combining genomic sequence data with medical records on a national scale. Dr. Mason presents the challenges they faced in getting started and their progress to-date (as of May 2016 when this presentation was filmed at Illumina’s Genomics in Oncology Summit.)
Speaker: Joanne Mason, PhD Director of Sequencing & Sample Acquisition, Genomics England
