Coming on-site will give you a unique opportunity to be trained in our fully equipped labs, using the newest library preparation methods, software and instruments in supported configurations. Introduction to Next-Generation Sequencing – DNA

This training will give you an excellent understanding of Illumina sequencing technology and its possible applications in DNA analysis. The course gives an overview of each step of a comprehensive sequencing workflow: from considerations for experimental design; choice of sample preparation method and sequencer; down to challenges of data analysis. You will have an opportunity to discuss your future projects with our experts and have a chance to set up your first sequencing run.

Target Audience: Life scientists who have no or very limited experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), but who would like to gain an understanding of the technology.

Objectives: At the end of the training you will:

Be familiar with popular NGS applications and how they can change the way you do your research

Introduction to Next-Generation Sequencing for Pathologists

This 2-day training will give you in-depth understanding of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) with Illumina's technology and its possible applications in your lab. The course provides an overview of a comprehensive sequencing workflow including comparison of traditional methods used in pathology labs with NGS approach; outline of different NGS strategies, sample preparation methods and sequencing instruments; experimental design considerations for FFPE samples; introduction to NGS data analysis and overview of clinical guidelines for NGS. During the training you will also have an opportunity to discuss with our experts how you could complement your current techniques with NGS and have a chance to set up your first sequencing run.

Target Audience: Pathology lab directors, oncologists and senior clinical scientists who have no or very limited experience with NGS, and who would like to introduce NGS into their pathology laboratories.
